Last Monday, the executive committee of the Czech Football Federation met to discuss the performance of the Czech national team in September's Nations League matches (Georgia vs. Czech Republic - 4:1, Czech Republic vs. Ukraine - 3:2).
Head coach of the Czech national team Ivan Hasek admitted that the first match was not very successful in terms of either the game or the result and took responsibility. As a result, the members of the Executive Committee decided to leave the specialist at the helm of the national team and did not put him any conditions regarding the results in the October matches of the Nations League - against Albania and Ukraine.
Here is what the president of the Czech Football Federation Petr Fusek said in this regard.
"No one in the executive committee expressed a vote of no confidence in Ivan Hasek. The coach answered all the questions put to him by the members of the Executive Committee and was very self-critical in his assessment of the September matches.
The situation in our Nations League group is open, in soccer everything is decided by results and performance. So we definitely want to succeed in October and, in particular, to beat Ukraine again," said the head of Czech soccer.
