On September 23, the youngest youth national team of Ukraine, U-16 (players not older than 2009), will begin its first-ever training camp in Spain. There, the blue and yellows will take part in a tournament in which they will play against England, France and Israel.
On the eve of the team's departure, its head coach Yuriy Moroz shared his expectations from this training camp.
- "Naturally, the first task of the coaching staff is to get to know the guys better," said Yuriy Moroz, "The scouting department abroad and we here in Ukraine have been very careful in finding candidates. But, unfortunately, not everyone was able to come today because UEFA did not allow it, and some clubs did not let the players go. Therefore, there is an opportunity to see other guys who can prove themselves at their best.
As for the upcoming tournament, it has been organized by the British for several years. And this time, the Ukrainian national team was invited to the competition thanks to UAF President Andriy Shevchenko, for which we are very grateful. There is an opportunity not only to get together but also to play with such strong teams as England, France and Israel.
