Zenit midfielder Maxim Glushenkov said what he thinks of the Russian national team's friendly matches against the backdrop of its recent sparring with Vietnam.
"I don't know what the Russian national team is playing for. The players said it doesn't matter who the opponent is, what matters is that you play for the national team? Not in reproach to anyone, but personally I have a different opinion.
And matches like the one against Vietnam don't motivate me. I didn't watch them. I'd rather train with the Brazilians at Zenit. It will be more interesting," Glushenkov said on the YouTube channel Nobel.
