The press service of Genoa reported that Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Malinowski underwent surgery.
"This morning Ruslan Malinowski underwent surgery on his right ankle. The operation, performed by Professor Federico Santolini and his team, was successful. The player is feeling well and will begin rehabilitation at the club's base in the coming days," reads the official statement from Genoa.
It will be recalled that Malinowski was seriously injured yesterday in the Serie A match against Venice.
