Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen was injured in the match of the 6th round of the Spanish championship against Villarreal (5:1) and had to leave the field early.
The Catalan club has officially confirmed the injury to its team captain. After examination, it turned out that Ter Stegen had suffered a complete tear of the tendon in his right knee. The German goalkeeper will undergo surgery. Recovery will take up to eight months.
