As previously reported, UEFA appointed referees for the match of the 1st round of the main stage of the Europa League between Dynamo Kyiv and Italian Lazio, which will be held next Wednesday, September 25, in Hamburg.
All referees are from Greece, and the on-field referee will be Anastasios Sidiropoulos, who has worked many matches involving Ukrainian teams in his career.
This 36-year-old referee has been officiating international matches since 2011, and during this time he has worked 114 such matches (total at club level and at national team level in all age categories).
It will not be the first time that Sidiropoulos will officiate a match with Dynamo Kyiv: in the season 2013/14 under the supervision of this referee the Kyiv team lost to Belgian Genk (0:1) in the group stage of the Europa League. Also noted that during his career the Greek refereed Shakhtar Donetsk five times, and three times - the national team of Ukraine.
