Former Ukraine striker Ivan Getsko told what he expects from the match of the 1st round of the main stage of the Europa League, which will be held today in Hamburg.
- "Lazio is a club with high ambitions. It is a club that stands above others for its merits. It has a solid status, it has its own credo and high level. Do you think that Dynamo will do well in the meeting with the Romans? I wouldn`t say so. I think that Dynamo will have problems in the duel with Lazio. This is Italy - it runs, it flies! "Lazio" is a fast and powerful team, it will not be so easy for our guys.
But at the same time I don`t think that Dynamo are worse. No! Kyiv can also give something of their own! But if all - then all (players - author's note), you know? If five-six or at least three Dynamo players drop out, it will not be very good.
- What can make Dynamo, if not surpass Lazio in terms of play and tactics, then at least look on equal terms with it?
- I don`t think that Dynamo will be superior, but they can play on the same level with the Romans. These two teams are not on the same level, but they are similar in terms of classic soccer actions. And how it will be in reality in today's match is hard to say. But no matter how it is, and I hope that with great desire and dedication Dynamo can do everything as it should be. I believe that whoever takes possession of the central zone will have an advantage in the game.
- How serious an opponent do you think Dynamo is for Lazio?
- Whatever the Kyiv team is, they will always be treated with respect in Italy. And this applies not only to Lazio, but to any club. Everyone knows very well who Andriy Shevchenko is. Italians remember his game very well. Believe me: Lazio will not be in a hat-trick mood towards Dynamo Kyiv. This club has been a good and strong rival to be reckoned with for many decades. So the Romans are already preparing for the meeting in Hamburg. And I do not believe that the match will be inexpressive. There will be a fight. There will be a struggle throughout the match. This is unequivocal.
