Former Chelsea head coach Graham Potter described the situation the team was in due to the large number of players at the club.
"Some players just had to sit on the floor. It's not ideal, of course. Everyone recognized that it's a really difficult situation because you can only pick 11 players and if you have 20 players who don't play, it doesn't matter where you are. If you can find a coach who says: 'Yes, this is the best deal for me,' I'd be very surprised," Potter told The Telegraph.
