It became known why the Greek referee sent Bragara off

Former FIFA referee Miroslav Stupar assessed the refereeing in the first match of the Europa League group round between Dynamo and Lazio, which featured two dismissals and three warnings:

Myroslav Stupar

- The game for the Greek team, led by Anastasios Sidiropoulos, was not difficult to officiate. "Lazio scored a quick goal without much resistance from Kyiv and closed the game in the 35th minute. Because when the score was 0-3, Dynamo realized that it was unrealistic to escape.

Therefore, in my opinion, Sidiropoulos coped well with his duties, in particular, in episodes with disciplinary penalties. Kyiv's Bragaru saw a straight red card for an aggressive attack on Italian Zaccagni, who escaped a serious Achilles injury. Ten minutes later, the lineups were leveled when Noslin decided to brush aside our Dubinchak for some reason.

By the way, at the end of the match, in a somewhat similar situation, when Bragara was sent off, Roman Romagnoli, who also attacked the opponent's shin, was punished only with a yellow card. But the referee apparently decided that the Italian's actions were not aggressive.
