Ule Gunnar Sulcher: "Ten weeks after Ronaldo arrived, I lost my job"

Former Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Sulcher suggests that Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival at MU in the summer of 2021 influenced his future coaching career with the Red Devils.

- "Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best players of the last 15 years. I played with him. He played for MU for a long time. History connected him with Manchester United, and we could not give him to Manchester City. It is likely that he would have scored more goals than Holland as a member of the Citizens. So I talked to Ronaldo, we invited him to MU, and I think it might have affected the atmosphere in the dressing room. Maybe some of the MU players felt less important when Ronaldo was training next to them.

Cristiano proved to be a great player. He became the best scorer that season, scoring 24 goals, but 10 weeks after he arrived, I lost my job," said Ole Gunnar Sulcher.
