"Did you see how Dynamo played in the European Cups? It's hard for them too," Yuriy Vernydub about Kryvbas's 0-1 loss to Oleksan

Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih head coach Yuriy Vernydub commented on his team's 0-1 defeat to Oleksandriya in yesterday's home match of the 8th round of the Ukrainian championship.

"It was a good game and a complete advantage on our part. The only thing we didn't do was score. Compared to the game against Vorskla (1:1, Matchday 7 - ed.), there were plenty of chances. Sosa alone had four 100% opportunities to score, but failed to realize at least one. Unfortunately, we conceded a goal in stoppage time in the first half. This is how it happens.

After the break, we started playing football again, creating chances, but the ball didn't go in. We didn't deserve to lose. But that's how it goes in football. The stronger team doesn't always win.

We need time, we have a different team compared to last year. We will continue to work. Newcomers have come, they need to get used to our game. But some of our key players left. Yes, there are young guys from the U-19. There are three or four young players who can grow into good footballers. But everything takes time. Not everything is so simple. It's hard for everyone. Did you see how Dynamo played in the European Cups? It's hard for them too: traveling, little time to recover, muscles can't withstand the stress," Vernydub said at the post-match press conference.
