Barcelona attacking midfielder Frankie de Jong has denied information about his high salary at the Catalan club, as well as that he refused to undergo surgery on his injured ankle.
"The journalists said a lot of things about me: that I didn't want to have surgery and that I was paid a lot of money. There were figures like 37 million euros or something like that. But the reality is very far from that. I am not ready to reveal all the cards, but these figures are far from the truth. I understand people who are upset because they think I'm earning a lot of money, refusing surgery, not training and being on 'vacation', but none of this is true," Sport.es quoted de Jong as saying, citing Barça One.
