Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, head coach of Dynamo Kyiv, commented on the convincing victory over Left Bank in the 8th round of the Ukrainian championship on UPL TV.
- Oleksandr Volodymyrovych, how would you assess your team's performance today?
- I congratulate our fans on the victory. At the beginning of the game, we fully controlled the course of events on the field. "The Left Bank defended tightly, but we managed to score a goal. After we scored the second goal, which was disallowed, for some reason we started to play a different game than we had agreed with the guys. We started making mistakes and letting the opponent launch counterattacks.
During the break, we made a remark about this, and then we had to play more calmly, but the result of the game against Lazio somewhere left its mark on this match. We were well aware that we had no right to make a mistake in this match.
We also congratulated Mykhavko and Rubchynskyi on their debut goals for Dynamo. We are also pleased to note Dyachuk's return to the football field after a serious injury. Tomorrow we start preparing for the next match.
- How is Mykhavko, who was replaced due to injury?
- Everything is fine. Mykhavko is under a lot of pressure now, as he plays at a high level in every match. We trust all our players and will continue to let almost all of them play. Tomorrow we will gather at the base and in the evening we will go by train to Poland and then to Germany.
- Today's victory is a good reason to cheer up the team before the game against Hoffenheim.
- All matches are important for us. We count from match to match, we take into account the circumstances, we live for today, but we also look to the future.
- How is Popov doing? Can we expect him to play in the Europa League?
- He is preparing like all the other players. It's football, with a lot of workload and logistical issues. But we have to live with it, because we have a war in our country.
- How would you rate Guerrero's performance?
- He tried his best, created pressure on the opponent's defense. The Left Bank defender received a second yellow card. It is with this motivation that all players should come out and play. He is going through a period of adaptation, he has not been training with us, but I am satisfied with his actions today.
