Metalurh Zaporizhzhya announced the appointment of a new head coach: Ilya Bliznyuk, known in Ukraine for his work with Illichivets, Sumy, Poltava and other clubs, became the head coach. This 51-year-old specialist also coached Zaporizhzhya Metalurh - throughout 2016.
Note that the last time Bliznyuk worked as a head coach quite a long time ago, when he headed "Nikolaev" from 2020 to 2021.
Yesterday, Metallurg already held the first training session under Bliznyuk's leadership. Now the team is in Group B of the First League and after 8 rounds occupies the penultimate place.
