AC Milan's legendary midfielder Ruud Gullit believes that Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzei made a mistake during the summer transfer window.
"Zirkzei should have joined AC Milan, not Manchester United. He knew that Serie A and a couple of extra seasons in that tournament at a top club like AC Milan would have been ideal for his development. Now he is at a club with many problems, which does not make his growth easy. He is undoubtedly a good player, but at this historic moment it is difficult to succeed at Man United," La Gazzetta dello Sport quoted Gullit as saying.
It will be recalled that the Red Devils paid Bologna 42.5 million euros for the transfer of Zirksei.
