The match started well for Dynamo: already on the 5th minute of the match Kyivians opened the score. In the goal attack Tymchyk broke through the right flank, shot into the penalty area, where Guerrero threw the ball to Rubchinskiy, his shot was blocked by Kryvbas player, but at the second attempt Dynamo rookie managed to send the ball into the goal - 1:0.
Later Dynamo, as a whole, controlled the game, but Shovkovskiy's wards had no special freedom of action - the guests pressed high and tried to counterattack sharply. Nevertheless, the Bilo-Syni soon found their moment - it was Guerrero who shot from the left corner of the penalty area on 20 minutes, the ball arced towards the far nine of Kryvbas' goal, but Klishchuk managed to convert the game to a corner.
Four minutes later, after using the VAR system, the referee awarded a penalty to Kryvbas for Kuzyk's hand play. Buyalskyi came to the spot and shot into the bottom corner of the goal - Klishchuk guessed the direction of the shot and even touched the ball with his fingers, but could not prevent it from flying into the net - 2:0.
The second goal did not change the game pattern. "Dynamo continued to act on the first number one, significantly surpassed the opponent in terms of ball control, and Kryvbas, as before, quite successfully played on the destruction of the Bilo-Syni's combinations. The rest of the first half went like that, and neither team had any opportunities to change the score. However, on the third penalty minute the guests managed to "print" the Dynamo goal: after a free kick Buschan failed to reach the ball, it hit Mikhavko and flew into the net - 2:1.
The second half started with two dangerous shots by Sosa. First, he shot from the corner of the goalkeeper's box, and then - from the line of Dynamo penalty area. In both cases, the ball flew in close proximity to Buschan's goal frame. But the guests in their desire to level the score in the opening of the second half did not achieve more.
And closer to the middle of the half Dynamo took control of the game. However, it did not lead to any actual sharpness at Klischuk's goal. As a result, except for the mentioned strikes of Sosa, the second half was not memorable for anything else, and the referee, in the end, recorded the victory of Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's team with the score 2:1.
After this result Dynamo moved to the clear first place in the Ukrainian championship standings. Polesie and Oleksandriya, who are on the second and third lines respectively, are two points behind the Kyivians.
Now the UPL will go on a two-week pause due to the matches of the national teams. The next, the 10th round of the championship will be held from October 18 to 21. Within its framework Dynamo will play with Obolon Kyiv. The match will take place on Saturday, October 19 and will be held at the Obolon Arena stadium (kick-off at 15:30).
