Yuriy Vernydub: "Honestly, I don't know if there was a hand there, but if you look at VAR..."

Kryvbas head coach Yuriy Vernydub commented on the defeat of Dynamo in the 9th round of the Ukrainian championship on UPL.TV.

Yuriy Vernydub

- How can you explain the poor start to the match by your team?

- I wouldn't say it was a failure. The first goal we conceded was a result of the lack of chemistry in the defense. You need patience and you need to work. The second goal was a penalty. I honestly don't know if there was a hand there, but if VAR looked at it and said... I just don't understand these moments, I don't want to offend anyone, but at home in our match against Oleksandriya, there was a clear penalty for a foul on Sosa, but VAR didn't see it, they said there was no penalty.

The guys did not give up, played to the end and scored their goal at the end of the first half. In the second half, they came out with a desire to score more, but failed. Dynamo also had their moments. I think the game was well played by both teams, but we lost. We understand that we need to get points, but we don't have them yet.

- Did you feel that your team was fresher today, because Dynamo played in the European Cups a few days ago?

- We have also gone through this path. If it were us, it would have been hard for us, because today we gathered 17 players for the application. Two of them are from the U-19 team. Dynamo is going through a period when many matches and many players have been injured, and I understand this well, but Kyiv has two players for each position. I told my players that they shouldn't take this into account, because then, for example, Karavaev played, and today Tymchyk plays. Dubinchak played on the left, and today Vivcharenko is playing. Buyalsky and Yarmolenko did not play, but today they did. Perhaps only Bushchan and two central defenders were tired. That's all.

As for us, we just have to be patient, work hard and come out to play. I think everything will be fine.
