Dynamo midfielder Valentyn Rubchynskyi scored his team's first goal in the match of the 9th round of the Ukrainian championship against Kryvbas (2:1). After the final whistle, the midfielder praised the match with Kryvyi Rih and the team's start in the Europa League group.
- Valentyn, how do the players of Dynamo Kyiv withstand the crazy pace of two matches a week plus long travels?
- It's very hard, but these are our realities. Of course, traveling takes a lot of time. We are gradually getting used to this rhythm. We wanted to play in European competitions, so we will endure it.
- When did you arrive in Kyiv after the game against Hoffenheim?
- We arrived home on Saturday, around 14:00, and the Dynamo vs Kryvbas match started on Sunday at 18:00. We held a pre-game training session at our base, because there was about a day left before the match with Kryvbas. Before the training, we also had time to go over the theory and analyze the opponent's game.
- Moving on to the match with Kryvbas, was it not too difficult for you? Already in the 25th minute, Dynamo were winning 2-0.
- At first it was difficult, but we managed to score a quick goal, then Buyalsky scored from the eleven-meter mark. Of course, Mykhavko's penalty kick spoiled our mood a bit. In the second half, we played with more goals, while the visitors, on the contrary, became a little more aggressive.
- You scored after Tymchyk's pass from the flank to the penalty area. It's not often that such balls reach their intended recipient, because there were many opposing defenders there.
- Yes, there was a good pass by Tymchyk and his shot in my direction. It's good that Guerrero crossed the ball to me a little bit. My first shot hit the defender, and with my second shot I managed to open the scoring.
- You have scored in the second round in a row. First, you scored against Left Bank, and now against Kryvbas. Did you catch your luck?
- I hope so. I want to score even more.
- If the fans ask you: "Have you been able to adapt to Dynamo?", what will you answer them?
- Yes, I have gradually adapted. I communicate well with the guys. I am more silent by nature, but everything is fine in this regard.
- Let's move on to the European Cups, where Dynamo and Shakhtar have had lackluster matches against really strong teams. Is there an answer to why this is happening?
- We can't keep up with the pace when playing teams from the top 5 leagues of European football. The intensity of matches in Europe is completely different. The Ukrainian league has a completely different level of football, with many teams playing strictly from the defense. In the European Cups, our opponents constantly play offense, pressing a lot.
- Will the experience of these matches help you in the near future?
- These games with Lazio and Hoffenheim will benefit us, we will play even better.
- How can you stop Artem Dovbyk, who has started scoring in almost every game, in the October 24 match between Roma and Dynamo Kyiv?
- It will be difficult for our defenders in this game. But he can be stopped if we play more aggressively with him.
