Former Dynamo Kyiv striker Serhiy Yuran told about his transfer to this team from Luhansk Zorya in 1988.

"When I had a year left before the army, Dynamo selectors came from Kyiv and invited me to their place. I almost fainted. This is Dynamo Kyiv! And I only see matches on black-and-white TV.

But, of course, I could refuse then, because I had a whole year before the army. The next day I consulted with my brother and together we went to my first coach Vladislav Mikhailovich Prodan. He said: "No, you don't need to go there now. Play another year in "Zorya", you are not ready yet". At that time I was shocked by these words, but later I realized that my coach was right: then it would be difficult for me to get somewhere in Dynamo, I would sit without game practice. A year later, many players of Dynamo's double team moved to the first team and, accordingly, there were opportunities in the second team.

So, a year later I joined Dynamo. The head of the team of "Zorya" told me that there was a request for me from Kyiv and we left. And two days later two sergeants and a lieutenant from CSKA came to my house late at night. They came for me. My dad opened the door for them, they checked the house, the cellar, the attic, made sure I was really gone, and left. And back then it was like this: they came to you from CSKA when it was time to join the army, handcuffed you and took you to Moscow. There you take the oath and that's it. In my case, they were just too late.

In the meantime, I end up in Kiev. Kreschatik. Dnieper. I was a little dazed. The most beautiful city, the most beautiful! I liked it very much. And the crowded stadium, of course, separately.

I started to play for the second team, and almost immediately a serious injury: I broke my ankle. My foot was twisted the other way. The question was: will I limp all my life, or will I be able to walk without limping. And there were some percentages for the fact that I could play soccer.

I was told that if you can tolerate pain, and there will be pain, you will re-learn to walk. And so I did. I re-learned how to walk. For about half a year," said Yuran on the air of Youtube channel "Tatarka FM".
