Sergiy Tyshchenko's column. When will Guerrero score for Dynamo?

So far, the transfer of Eduardo Guerrero has not gone well for Dynamo Kyiv. The Panamanian striker has yet to score a single goal for the capital's team.

The genius of selection is not just about getting a good player. Everything is much more complicated. You need a player who fits the team's style of play to the maximum extent possible. The great Valery Lobanovsky once said that the Brazilian forward Ronaldo would not play in his team. Or the opposite example - the transfer of Ihor Krasnopir from Obolon to Rukh. The striker felt at ease and started scoring.

Guerrero is an individualist, used to playing for himself when the whole team helps him score. He has no tactical framework. At Zorya, the Peruvian played as Eduardo Guerrero. At Dynamo, everything is different. A completely different tactical structure, completely different requirements for the players. Even the striker has to work very hard for the team. Team actions outweigh individual ones. Team football is much more difficult to play than individual football. Otherwise, Guerrero would never have come to play for Zorya, but would have been successful in Israel.

For Dynamo fans, Guerrero's transfer carried high expectations. There were expectations that Eduardo would score for Dynamo as easily and easily as he did for Zorya. We paid decent money for him by today's standards. Plus, he is already adapted to Ukraine and has played successfully here.

The player himself is also nervous that he cannot be successful in the new team. The question of Guerrero's character. How strongly he has developed his volitional qualities and how much he will be able to learn new things and be controlled on the field. If Eduardo does not change, he will very quickly return to the level of a club like Zorya.

Guerrero's transfer has another negative connotation - Vladyslav Vanat's performance. Dynamo's main striker stopped scoring. He lost all the confidence he had in the previous season. The top scorer in the UPL last season has scored only one goal so far. If Vlad used to have complete confidence, now there is competition. For which, it seems, he was simply not ready. Vanat took Guerrero's transfer not as a challenge, but as a possible distrust. You also need to show character, prove your ambitions by scoring goals. Otherwise, there will be no Europe to speak of a priori.
