France's head coach Didier Deschamps commented on the absence of Kylian Mbappe from the national team's application for the upcoming Nations League matches.
Mbappe suffered a muscle injury just before the announcement of the national team's application, which forced him to miss the derby against Atletico Madrid. However, contrary to the initial medical assessment, the Real Madrid forward unexpectedly returned to the starting lineup in the recent match against Villarreal.
"The interests of clubs and national teams are inevitably intertwined. We must also remember that the club is the employer, not the national federation," Deschamps said.
