Italy's Genoa continue to search for a replacement for their Ukrainian midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi, who was out of action for a long time due to a fractured fibula.
As reported in his Twitter famous insider Nicolo Schira, one of the candidates was another Ukrainian, Viktor Kovalenko, who last summer left Atalanta due to the end of his contract and is now without a club. However, this performer, according to the source, failed to convince Genoa head coach Alberto Gilardino of his worthiness.
Apart from Kovalenko, Antonio Candreva and Rafinha Alcantara also failed to suit the coach.
