Bayer Leverkusen bosses have started negotiations on a new contract with the club's leader Florian Wirtz, Kicker reports.
According to the source, the new contract with Wirtz will be extended until the summer of 2028. The player himself sees no obstacles to extending the agreement. In the summer, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich were interested in the player, but this interest was only substantive.
It should be added that Florian Wirtz played 162 matches for Bayer's senior team, scoring 47 goals.
