"When you have a really difficult period in your life, depression, panic attacks, it doesn't matter what job you do, you have another person inside you that you have to fight with every day and every night. For me, it was the best decision to leave Spain, I couldn't stand it. I felt very bad.

At first I thought about staying, and I really wanted to stay at Atletico. I realized this in an interview in which I said that I didn't know if I would stay in the national team because of my age, because of other things outside of football... and there was a big fuss. Some people wrote dirty things in the media, and I realized that this does not happen in Italy," COPE quoted Morata as saying.

It will be recalled that in parallel with the news of the 31-year-old's transfer to AC Milan, information about his divorce from his wife appeared.
