Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny talks about the new challenge in his career.
"If you had told me a month ago that I would be playing for Barça, I would have laughed. I would have even laughed the day before Marc-Andre got injured. I couldn't imagine saying yes to any call at that time.
But when the phone rings and it becomes a reality, it all depends on you and your decision. You can think, imagine, plan... but there it is. And you ask yourself: "Can I say no to Barca?" The answer is that you can't say no.
If you say no to Barca, it means you don't have the courage or you're not brave enough for such a challenge. I believe that I still have that passion and that I am at the level where I can help, and that's why I agreed," the Spanish publication Sport quoted the goalkeeper as saying.
We would like to add that the contract with the 34-year-old Pole is valid until the end of the 2024/25 season. At the end of August, Szczęsny announced his retirement.
