Ukraine midfielder Oleksandr Nazarenko commented on the victory over Georgia in the Nations League match.
"Emotions are overwhelming. I'm very happy to make my debut for the national team, it's my childhood dream, and it has come true. Everyone congratulated me on my debut call-up. The coach talked to me on the first day and told me not to worry, that everything would be fine. So I'm going to keep working, and we'll see.
I am very happy for the team that we won. Ukrainians are the best. The last minutes were nervous. The coach asked me to help Matvienko and, if possible, run out on the counterattack. Did you succeed? To help - yes, to run out - no, there was not enough time.
The next match against the Czech Republic will be even harder than against Georgia. We are preparing for it. Even before the match with Georgia, we talked about the Czech Republic - a very strong team, it will be difficult. But we demonstrated our character against Georgia and showed what we are capable of. We will succeed," Nazarenko said.
