"It's unclear why the Russian national team exists" - former tssk footballer

Former Tsk Moscow footballer Alexander Grishin sees no point in the existence of the Russian national team, expelled from all international competitions as a representative of a terrorist country.

"I hear statements that the Russian national team should exist. But for me it is unclear why it exists now. In this form it is not needed, it is a waste of time. It is better, as in October, to release players to teams to heal injuries and get in shape. The best players used to get into the Russian national team, but now everyone gets in.

I do not see anything competitive in the friendly matches of the Russian national team. How can you play with the national teams of Syria and Brunei? I understand that these are national teams and there should be some respect for them. But back in the USSR we played with the national teams of Germany, Spain and France. And now we did not even know that there are such national teams as Malta, Syria and Libya", - quotes Grishin "Championship".
