Yuriy Shelepnytsky: "Will Kalyuzhny have enough strength to take on the Czechs?"

The first captain of the independent Ukraine national team, Yuriy Shelepnytsky, told whether there will be a rotation in the Ukrainian national team in the fourth round of the FIFA Nations League match against the Czechs, which will take place in Wroclaw on October 14.

- The match with the Georgians took place on a sticky stadium field in Poznan and required considerable physical exertion. Moreover, in the second half, the Ukrainians fought back more and it took a lot of effort to maintain the winning score. And that was the main task: to get three points. And in such cases, entertainment often fades into the background.

The next match - against the Czechs - will also be the final one, because the tournament situation again forces the Ukrainians to play for victory. Since there was little time to recover, I am convinced that we will need to rotate the team: we need fresh strength. I think we are talking about 2-3 positions in our national team. In my opinion, there may be changes in the center of defense, in the support area and on the right flank of the midfield.

I agree that Ivan Kalyuzhnyi did well for a debutant against the Georgians, but will he have the strength to play at a high level in two days against the physically strong Czechs? It's hard to say, so it's possible that veteran Taras Stepanenko will appear in the backfield, as he does not hide his desire to help the national team. Although, of course, the last word will be for the manager Serhii Rebrov," Shelepnytskyi said.
