Former Ukraine footballer Ivan Getsko summarized the results of the Blue and Yellows' October matches in the League of Nations.
- I am disappointed with our team's performance in the match against the Czechs. The players and coaches knew that we needed three points, not one. And they did not do everything to win. I was especially annoyed by the replacement of Artem Dovbyk with Roman Yaremchuk. A team that wants to win will not change a forward for another. Couldn't Dovbyk have been left on the field and Yaremchuk substituted for Mudryk and won with two forwards? Especially since Mudryk sat down in the last 30 minutes and looked sluggish.
The question also arises as to why Rebrov did not keep the winning lineup in its entirety and released Stepanenko, not Kalyuzhny, from the opening minutes. Stepanenko mostly made passes backwards, not towards the opponent's goal. And Mykola Shaparenko was also frankly disappointing. Especially when he did not hit the empty net with his right foot.
I am worried that we will not take the last place in the group and will not fly out to the third strongest division. It would be a great shame. And the level of rivals in the next draw of the Nations League will be much lower," said Getsko.
