Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who currently plays for Saudi Arabia's Al Nasser, became the highest-paid footballer in the world in 2024 according to Forbes magazine.
According to the magazine, Ronaldo earned $285 million that year ($220 million in salary and $65 million in off-field income). The second place is taken by the Argentine striker of the American Inter Miami, Lionel Messi, with $135 million (60+75). The top three is rounded out by Brazilian striker Neymar of Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal, who earned $110 million (80+30).
