Svyatoslav Syrota: "A rhetorical question about the development of children's and youth football in Ukraine"

Former Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Svyatoslav Syrota, who served as PFL president from 2008 to 2010, drew attention to a problem in Ukrainian youth football.

Sviatoslav Syrota

"A rhetorical question about the development of children's and youth football.

Compensation for the training of young football players in Ukraine is from 20 thousand to 25 thousand UAH for a year of study at a sports school.

Compensation for training if a player moves to a European club of the 4th category, that is, a club of the 2nd or 3rd division of the conditional country of Latvia or Poland - 10 thousand euros for a year of training.

Where is the work of a children's coach more appreciated?

I'm not talking about attempts by clubs to impose service agreements or waiver certificates.

And this is just one of the aspects of the work of a children's coach.

It's a rhetorical question: what will be the coach's number 1 priority - to train 2-3 quality players, or to take 30 children for 1000 UAH per month and just make money on the masses?

PS. All data on compensation is taken from open sources," Syrota wrote on his Facebook page.
