The head coach of the Ukrainian youth national team, Dmytro Mykhailenko, summarized the results of the October training camp for his team. After returning from Spain, where the youth national team of Ukraine (players not older than 2006) took part in an international tournament, the coach of the Blue and Yellows Dmytro Mykhailenko summed up the results of this work in a commentary to the UAF official website.
Dmitry Mikhailenko- We are pleased that we were able to play with the best teams in Europe, which are undoubtedly the Netherlands and England. This was the experience that our players, who play in the Ukrainian league, needed on the eve of the European Championship qualifying round. We tested our strength, tried different combinations of player interaction.
In these control matches, we managed to watch all the players. At this time, we have almost decided on the candidates for the trip to the Netherlands. The coaching staff already understands how to use certain players in different situations on the field. It is important that in November all the guys we are counting on are healthy," said Mykhaylenko.
