News from the camp of one of Dynamo Kyiv's rivals in the main stage of the Europa League. The main midfielder of Hungarian "Ferencvaros" Habib Maiga was taken to the hospital after yesterday's match of his team with "Fehervar" (2:0) in the Hungarian championship.
Already in the 2nd minute of the game, the 28-year-old Ivorian after a fight for the ball in the air failed to regroup and flew to the turf head down. Ferencvaros doctors helped Maiga for a long time and he eventually not only got back on his feet, but also played the first half.
In the second half, the supporting midfielder did not come out, and after the game, head coach of "Fradi" Pascal Jansen said that Maiga was taken to the hospital. It is likely that the player injured his neck, which may put in question his participation in the upcoming matches.
"Yes, Maiga stayed on the field, but all the team was talking about the fact that he was not okay, so I replaced him at halftime. And then he had to be sent to hospital altogether. I don't know anything more about his condition yet," Jansen said.
In the current season, Maiga played 15 matches for Ferencvaros in all tournaments, and he has one assist.
It should be added that Dynamo will play with Ferencvaros in the 4th round of the main stage of the Europa League. This match will be held on November 7 in Hamburg.
