Alexander Grytsai: “Can Dynamo count on their first points in this European cup season against Roma? Yes, they can!”

Former coach of Dnipro-1, Alexander Grytsai, shared his expectations for the match between Kyiv’s Dynamo and Italian Roma in the 3rd round of the main phase of the Europa League, which will take place tomorrow in Rome.

— On the eve of the match against Kyiv, Roma lost at home to Inter (0:1). And Dynamo won against Obolon with a score of 5:1. Vanat scored two goals, and Shaparenko and Brazenko both had two assists. What do you say about this match?

— Roma lost and will try to rehabilitate themselves in front of their fans; they will try to win! But can the Dynamo players count on their first points in this European cup season? Yes, they can!

— Do you think Artem Dovbik will start the match against Dynamo from the first minutes?

— I think so. It will be an interesting confrontation. Dovbik gave an interview and mentioned that the atmosphere at the Stadio Olimpico will be fantastic. But we’ll see!

— What are your thoughts on Dynamo's starting lineup?

— Bushchan will play in goal. In the center of defense, Popov and Mikhavko will appear. On the left in defense will be Dubinchak, and possibly Vivcharenko. But I tend to think that it will be Dubinchak after all. The right-back position could be filled by Tymchik or Karavaev, so there are questions here.

In midfield, Brazenko will be alongside Shaparenko and probably Bujalsky. The question is whether Yarmolenko will be ready to play. If he is not ready for the match against Roma, there is a possibility that Tymchik will play as a right defender, and Karavaev as a midfielder, just like in the match against Obolon. In Zorya, where I was a coach, he played in this position. “The left midfielder against Roma,” will probably be Kabaev.

In attack, I think Vanat will be involved.
