On Sunday, October 27, another chapter of the classic rivalry between Kyiv’s Dynamo and Donetsk’s Shakhtar will take place in the Ukrainian championship. Ahead of the new meeting of Ukrainian giants, let’s take a look at the top scorers of the “classic” among the current rosters of the teams.
The best scorer in the confrontation from Dynamo is Andriy Yarmolenko. He scored his first goal against the miners on November 21, 2009, establishing the final score of that meeting - 3:0.
Then Yarmolenko scored once against Shakhtar in both matches of the 2012/13 season (he was the only scorer for the Kyiv team, who lost both matches), and also scored a double in the 2016/17 season, netting the winning goal in the match (Kyivans defeated Shakhtar in Kharkiv with a score of 3:2).
Yarmolenko scored another goal against Shakhtar in the 1/8 finals of the Ukrainian Cup for the 2011/12 season (Dynamo lost that match 2:3).

Among the current players of the “orange and black,” the most goals against Dynamo were scored by Taras Stepanenko (twice in the championship and once in the Ukrainian Cup).
