Player of Zhytomyr "Polissya" Oleksandr Nazarenko shared a story about the times when he played in the city of Dnipro for the local team.
«In "Dnipro," there were delays with salaries. Three months without salary was already something good. And there were cases of four to five months, and even more. There were times when I didn't even have money for a minibus to get to my girlfriend. I said, “I have no money, I can’t come to you.” She sent me money and said, “I’m waiting for you, come.”
I was very ashamed then, I wanted to sink into the ground. But that girl is now my wife. Therefore, I am very grateful to her for sending me money back then and I came. If she hadn't sent it, everything could have been different», — said Nazarenko in an interview with journalist Dmytro Povorozniuk.
