Returning to Poltava. They say you cannot enter the same river twice, but you have managed to do so. What feelings and emotions did you bring to Poltava?

— First of all, it’s pleasant to return to a city where I worked. I have friends and players I once played with. So this is very nice for me.

Did the guys look at you with the same eyes as before when you first took over the team? Did you manage to stir them up again?

— I wanted them to feel freer and less constrained. The guys understand their position and they also think it’s necessary to fix the situation.

Did the first training session give you any information about what you will be working on next?

— The most important thing is that they have the drive and desire to play football and to improve their current situation. That’s what matters the most today.

What tasks have the management outlined for you in the near future and what do you set for yourself and the coaching staff?

— I understand that every coach wants the team to win. The most important thing is for us to get out of the situation we are in. So we will move forward.

How pleased are you that the fans, upon hearing about your appointment, came to the stadium and started taking photos with you?

— I am pleased, to be honest. These are young people who once watched football and say: "It’s nice that when you coached, the team played well."
