Today, the famous player of Kyiv “Dynamo,” Volodymyr Onyshchenko, celebrates his 75th birthday. The honorary UEFA member Hryhoriy Surkis congratulated the jubilarian.

Your football career is a true inspiration for many generations. You have left a bright mark in the history not only of Kyiv “Dynamo,” with which you won all possible domestic trophies, including the Cup Winners’ Cup and UEFA Super Cup in 1975, but also for the whole of Ukrainian football.
Demonstrating courage, dedication, and unwavering team spirit, you helped achieve victories that will forever remain in the memory of fans, and your two goals in the Cup Winners’ Cup final against “Ferencváros” still inspire young players in their pursuit of high results and can serve as a wonderful example for the current generation of Dynamo players, who are waiting for new challenges on the European stage.
No less importantly, after finishing your playing career, you also became an outstanding coach and a true mentor, passing invaluable experience to future generations. With your sincere patriotism and active efforts for the benefit of Ukraine, you gained recognition and gratitude from all who believe in a better future for our country and, like all of us, dream of a swift victory and peace in our homeland.
