The new head coach of "Vorskla," Yurii Maksymov, commented on the draw result in the Ukrainian championship match against "Veres."
"When we were heading to Rivne, we were thinking about not losing. Because right now we are in a low position in the tournament table. It’s important not to fall any lower. Thank you to the team for the draw. We could have won, we were leading during the game. But at the end, we could have lost as well. There were moments near our goal.
After a difficult first half, we managed to play better in the second half. Both we and "Veres" are fighting for survival. This game can be considered a positive for both teams. We took a point and will keep moving forward.
As for what changes to expect in the team now - it all depends on the management. We all understand that there is war in the country. The most important thing is that we are still playing football, and the whole country is cheering for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We will win the war, then we will think about football,” - Maksymov is quoted by the official website of "Vorskla."
Let us remind you that tomorrow, October 30, the match of the 1/8 finals of the Ukrainian Cup between "Vorskla" and Kyiv's "Dynamo" will take place. The meeting will start at 15:30.
