Former Hungarian Ferencváros defender Dyozo Martosh admitted that he is eagerly awaiting his former team’s match against Kyiv’s Dynamo in the 4th round of the main stage of the Europa League, which will take place next Thursday, November 7, in Hamburg.
Speaking about this match, the 74-year-old Hungarian recalled the final match of the Cup Winners’ Cup for the 1974/75 season, in which he played for Ferencváros against Dynamo. That meeting ended in a crushing victory for the Kyiv team with a score of 3:0.
“It’s time to make up for this defeat, so on Thursday I will be cheering for Ferencváros with all my heart. Judging by the results in the Europa League, Dynamo’s form is not the best right now. They haven’t even scored once yet, let alone the fact that they have no points after three matches. On the other hand, one shouldn’t get too carried away with such thoughts,” Metropol quotes Martosh.
