Mladen Bartulović: "In our match with LNZ, the referee helped one team"

The head coach of Luhansk “Zaria”, Mladen Bartulović, criticized the refereeing in yesterday’s match of his team against Cherkasy LNZ (1:2) in the 12th round of the Ukrainian Championship.

"A very disappointing defeat that we did not deserve. I believe we played very well, especially in the first half.

Simple moments, and we concede unnecessary goals. A cross, a deflection, things like that... It’s just very disappointing to lose matches when we played so well. We had a lot of missed opportunities.

Perhaps there was too much desire from us today, we really wanted to win. Maybe that hindered us. Furthermore, I think the referee officiated poorly. He helped one team. Michin elbowed Tilly — a yellow card. But in a similar moment, he doesn’t give a yellow to LNZ.

There were many similar moments that he interpreted differently. This is felt and it affects the team. The team senses this. Yes, the referee did not affect a particular moment that could have decided the fate of the match, but when there are many other moments, even if less significant, it affects the game,” Bartulović said in a broadcast on the YouTube channel “UPL TV”.
