The Polish prosecutor's office has closed the case regarding the attack on former head coach of "Zagłębie" from Sosnowiec, Alexander Hatskevich, and his assistants, which took place last spring.
Let us remind that a group of young people in balaclavas broke into one of the "Zagłębie" training sessions, who not only aggressively spoke to the coaches and players of the team, but also attempted to beat them, attacking Hatskevich in particular, who had to defend himself against the blows raining down on him.
This incident led to the Belarusian specialist, known in Ukraine for his work with Kyiv's "Dynamo," leaving his position, and the local authorities initiated a criminal case.
However, those responsible for these crimes will not face punishment. This was reported by another Belarusian, Mikhail Zalewski, who at the time of the described events held the position of sports director of "Zagłębie" and subsequently submitted his resignation simultaneously with Hatskevich.
“We received a letter from the prosecutor's office stating that no one could be found and the case is closed,” Zalewski's words are quoted by Przegląd sportowy.
The publication adds that in such cases, football players are afraid to give testimony against fans. Moreover, the perpetrators were in balaclavas, and Hatskevich himself admitted at the time that he would not be able to identify them.
