On Thursday, November 7, in the match of the 4th round of the main stage of the Europa League, Kyiv's “Dynamo” lost to Hungarian “Ferencváros” with a score of 0:4. The match was nominally home for the Ukrainian team, but due to the war, it took place in Hamburg at the “Volksparkstadion”. We present to your attention the post-match press conference of Dynamo’s head coach Oleksandr Shovkovsky.

— Do you have an understanding of how to correct the situation? When will the team start gaining points?

— We prepare for each game, we play against a team that also has its own tasks. And playing with ten against eleven is quite difficult. You analyze, do your job, and we will do ours - as we manage to do so at the moment.

As for the game, in the first half we kept the opponent in check, played compactly, organized, had opportunities to score more than one goal.

In the second half, we conceded the first goal after a terrible mistake. Then we immediately conceded again, and the game was, in principle, decided.

— Yarmolenko was quite emotional in giving tips from the bench during the match. Is he already performing some auxiliary coaching functions?

— He cannot and will not give any hints while he is a player. As a team leader with authority, who has a very great experience competing at the international level, as a player with a huge wealth of knowledge, he undoubtedly helps the players, gives them advice - as one of the team leaders. And that’s normal.

— What are the prospects for the team with Ceballos, given that he is injured again, and his loan lasts only until the end of the year?

— Unfortunately, during his entire time at “Dynamo,” this is already Ceballos's third such injury that prevents us from fully assessing his potential. He has played only one full game, and has come on as a substitute two more times. We will see after the year ends. But for now, I am not sure about this at all.
