Andriy Yarmolenko: "About my time in the Bundesliga, I can only say good things"

Dynamo forward Andriy Yarmolenko recalled the time when he played in the German championship for Borussia Dortmund in an interview with the Hamburg press service.

Andriy Yarmolenko

— About my time in the Bundesliga, I can only say good things. It is football of the highest quality, with many world-class players. Moreover, almost all tickets are always sold out, and an impressive atmosphere prevails. I still remember the away game in Hamburg well. Even before the match, my teammates warned me that it would be hard to play in Hamburg due to the constant pressure from the fans. But I love that kind of atmosphere; it motivates me a lot.

I started in the starting lineup and was very impressed by the atmosphere at Volksparkstadion. We won 3:0, and even after the third goal we conceded, more than 50 thousand fans in the stands loudly supported their team. It is a pity that this privilege of playing in front of full houses in Ukraine has been taken away by the Russian-aggressor war. But that is secondary; the survival of Ukraine itself comes first, — said Andriy.
