Defender of Kyiv "Dynamo" Vladyslav Dubinchak commented on the events that led to his ejection from the field in the Europa League match against Ferencváros in the "Profootball Digital" broadcast.
— When I jumped into the tackle, I thought that the opponent was reaching for the ball and would cross it. I tried to jump parallel to the ball, but since he let the ball pass out of play and ran a bit further, my jump landed on his foot. It happened accidentally, as I didn’t even want to make contact with him, but since he didn’t reach for the ball, I ended up getting him on the foot.
After the referee approached him, I immediately understood: it was a red card, because I felt that my foot was above his ankle.
I let the team down, left them with ten men. I understand this was a crucial moment; at such a moment, one cannot let the team down. I want to apologize to the fans once again, the result is fully on me, — said the Dynamo player.
