Brazilian midfielder of Shakhtar Pedrinho appealed to the president of his country, Lula da Silva.
“If I could appeal to Lula with one request, I would want him to include the issue of the war in Ukraine on the agenda of the G-20 summit. Many innocent people are dying. He is trying to talk to both sides to achieve peace. Meetings take place, but it is not always possible to reach an agreement.
Let the war end, and we can live normally. Shakhtar provides us with complete security, but living far from family in wartime conditions is difficult. The family is trying to understand that we are giving up many things now to feel better in the future,” Pedrinho is quoted by Correio Braziliense.
