The Ukraine U-19 national team started the Euro-2025 (U-19) qualifying tournament with a loss against Kazakhstan

Last Wednesday, November 13, the Ukraine U-19 national team (players no older than 2006) began their battle in the qualifying round of Euro-2025 (U-19).

The "blue and yellow" arrived in the Netherlands to participate in the matches of Group 1 of the qualifying round. The wards of Dmytro Mykhailenko started with a match against their peers from Kazakhstan, which took place in the city of Assen.

In the 9th minute, our team conceded — Agimanov managed to push the ball into the net from outside the penalty area. The Ukrainians struggled to achieve much in the opponent's half of the field, while towards the end of the first half, Agimanov scored a second goal with a direct shot from a corner. Just before the break, Husol failed to capitalize on a scoring opportunity.

In the 62nd minute, Ponomarenko reduced the deficit for the "blue and yellow" with a penalty. Later, Matviy tested the opposing goalkeeper with a shot from the penalty area. The final minutes were spent with pressure from the Ukrainians on the opponents' goal, but they could not snatch at least a draw — 1:2.

The next match for Dmytro Mykhailenko's team will be on November 16 against Slovenia.
