Oleksandr Dusaniak, one of the first coaches of the Ukrainian midfielder of the Spanish Girona Viktor Tsygankov, recalled what the first steps of this player in football were like.

"In the academy of Vinnytsia Niva, I was paired with Mykola Zahoruika as a coach. Tsygankov at that time was already training with this group. Zahoruika immediately told me, "There is one 'little diamond' here, take a look at him. He seems like a really cool guy.

I looked and realized that he was really a "diamond." Vitya differed from others in that he already had good dribbling skills, could outplay one or two and even the whole team, did everything at speed, had a wonderful shot, and his left foot was just amazing.

We used him as a 'number ten'. He did whatever he wanted on the field.

Vitya started in Israel, where his father was finishing his playing career. That's where he began to train. I don't know exactly what team he was with, but his first steps in football were indeed made in Israel.

He has always been a calm guy since childhood, never had any flashy airs that he was "strong." Whenever I met him back then, Vitya had a standard set with him: soccer cleats and a ball. And that's how he traveled in trams and trolleybuses," said Dusaniak.

The coach also mentioned that Tsygankov could have ended up at Shakhtar Donetsk but chose Dynamo.

"Vitya went to Shakhtar for a trial, and he personally did not like something. I really don't know what exactly, but it was his decision. After Tsygankov ended up at Dynamo, Vitya himself was on cloud nine.

He once even played for Dynamo against Niva at the DЮFL of Ukraine, he came to Vinnytsia. He scored a whole bag of goals against us there," added Dusaniak.
