“He has earned it and will confirm that it is not accidental,” - head coach of “Rukh” about Syich's debut call-up to the Ukraini

“The news about this invitation became known on Wednesday evening, and on Thursday morning I spoke with Oleksii before he headed to Poland.

First of all, I congratulated him on this crucial call in his career, saying that he deserved it with his gameplay and attitude towards the training process.

What did I wish him? To believe in his strengths, to stay cool-headed. Especially since Syich is not lacking in international experience. At the club level, he once defended the colors of the Belgian “Kortrijk”, won a bronze medal at the U21 European Championship, and competed at the Olympic Games in France.

Syich became the first representative of “Rukh” in the national team of Ukraine. He started under coach Volodymyr Bezubyak at the Lviv School of Physical Education. He then played as a midfielder for “Karpaty”, and later switched to the right flank of defense at “Rukh”.

Recently, he has significantly improved, especially in play in the third zone. He is a physically strong player, tenacious in duels, capable of creating a situation with a quality cross or a powerful long-range shot. He is progressing even in the defender position.

For the 23-year-old footballer, who is the leader of “Rukh”, this is another challenge in his career. I am convinced that he will confirm the non-accidental nature of his call-up to the national team of Ukraine,” - said Ponomaryov.
