The President of the UPL spoke at the annual meeting of the World League Association

The President of the Ukrainian Premier League, Yevhen Dykyi, spoke at the annual meeting of the World Leagues Association, where he thanked the international football community for its solidarity and support for Ukrainian football during difficult times.

The World Leagues Association is an organization that was established in 2016 with 24 leagues and now unites 45 leagues from around the world, including the Ukrainian Premier League.

In his video address to colleagues, the President of the UPL emphasized the invaluable support for Ukrainian football, which is going through tough times: “Even from a distance, we feel the strength and solidarity of our global football community, which supports Ukraine and our football. This support means a lot to us. Thank you for standing by us. Your solidarity has shown us that we are not alone in this struggle.”

Yevhen Dykyi also spoke about the work of the Ukrainian Premier League under wartime conditions, aimed at preserving and developing football in Ukraine: “Despite constant missile strikes, air alerts, power outages, and many other difficulties, we have managed to maintain the national championship, launched our own UPL.TV channel to bring Ukrainian football to viewers in Ukraine and abroad. Every match of the UPL Championship has become something greater than just sport — it is a message of hope, a moment of unity for our people.”

In conclusion, the President of the UPL emphasized that unity and the consolidation of efforts can overcome the most difficult challenges and expressed hope for further fruitful interaction among leagues around the world.
